Maksymilian Siemianowski

Maksymilian Siemianowski Ritter von Ehrenberg (* 1810 in Sanok , Galicia , Austrian Empire ; † April 7, 1878 in Sanok, Galicia, Austria-Hungary ) was a Polish painter and Austrian civil servant, from 1860 district head of Sanok, from 1865 governor's council, ibid.

Maksymilian Siemianowski was the son of Antonina Janicka and Józef Siemianowski, who administered a state estate in Galicia. Siemianowski came from a wealthy family and grew up near Sanok in what is now southeastern Poland. He studied at the Theresian Academy and attended private painting lessons with Friedrich Gauermann . So in 1832 he began training as a trainee internship. In 1844 he became a draftsman at the kk Niederösterreichische Amt of the Lower Austrian provincial government in Vienna.

The historical substance of the high school building (1880–1883) and the former house of the governor Maksymilian Siemianowski at the intersection of Zamkowa and Cerkiewna streets. The building almost completely disappeared under the Neuenhaus.

Siemianowski undertook joint travel paintings with his brother Franciszek, both graduated from the Theresianum in Vienna, including in Italy in 1846 ( Genoa , Parma , Rome , Pompeii and Sicily ), via Prague to Berlin . He later traveled to Vienna and worked as a district commissioner in Hallstatt . Maksymilian Siemianowski becomes conservator for public buildings.

From 1858 he was a member of the Academy of Sciences in Cracow. He mainly painted genre and historical pictures in watercolors, as well as portraits with scenes from Italian country life.

In 1869 he was knighted.

His younger brother Franciszek Ksawery (1811-1860) was also a painter.
