Malajube is a francophone indie rock band from Montréal , Québec , Canada .
history
Malajube became known for their first album Le Compte complet , released in 2004 , which received good reviews and made the band a local bigot on the Québec music scene. The group was able to win over Martin Pelland, a member of the befriended Montreal band The Dears , as producer for the album .
In the months after their first album was released, Malajube toured Québec and participated in several major festivals.
In February 2006, the quintet released their second album Trompe-l'œil , which also found attention in English Canada and later in neighboring USA .
The songs Montreal -40 ° C and Ton Plat Favori were also used for advertising spots.
