Malik Couturier (born January 21, 1982 in Jonzac ) is a French football player .

Career

Couturier was accepted into the youth department of the professional club Chamois Niort in 1997 at the age of 15 and moved up there in 2003 at the age of 21 in the club's second division team; He made his professional debut when he ran over the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw against SC Amiens on August 23, 2003. This was followed by occasional missions in his first season in the team before he made his breakthrough as a regular in the back team in the second year. Although he had to accept relegation to the third division in 2005, he was immediately promoted again in 2006. The player then remained an integral part of the team, but turned his back on Niort in 2008 after the team was relegated again.

The professional, however, remained in the second division, as he signed with SCO Angers , where he was also bet in the following years. He reached the league five times with Angers before he found a new employer in 2013 in league competitor Stade Laval .
