Ferrari F430 Spider steering wheel with Manettino

Manettino is the name for a special steering wheel switch in some modern sports cars made by the Italian manufacturer Ferrari , e.g. B. the Ferrari 599 GTB , the Ferrari F430 , the Ferrari California , the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Ferrari F12berlinetta .

This switch can be used to quickly regulate ABS , ESP , accelerator pedal characteristics, the speed of the switch box and the hardness of the shock absorbers during operation, in order to switch from a more comfort-oriented sport to a race mode or to adapt the vehicle to bad weather conditions. The switch is always installed at the bottom right of the steering wheel core. Borrowing the switch from Formula 1 is intended to emphasize the vehicle's sporty image. At the same time, the ease of use was increased compared to the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari , which had a comparable system, but distributed it over several switches.
