The Khotol River is a 137 km long left tributary of the Yukon River in western Alaska .
It arises from the confluence of Camp Creek and Gorton Creek in the Innoko National Wildlife Refuge northeast of Kaltag and flows in a south-southwest direction to the confluence with the Yukon River.
On a map from 1861, “Kutulnakt” is entered as the name of the indigenous people for the river. The current name goes back to Father Julius Jette from Nulato , who called "Khotolno" or "Khotol" as a common name among the natives.
