The Ferrari F12 is a Gran Turismo from the Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari , which has been sold as the successor to the Ferrari 599 since 2012 . According to the factory, the F12berlinetta was the brand's fastest car approved for use on public roads until the launch of the LaFerrari . In 2017 the F12 was replaced by the 812 .
Technical specifications
The F12berlinetta is equipped with a 6.3-liter V12 engine that develops 544 kW (740 hp) at 8250 rpm, making it the most powerful street-legal Ferrari until 2012. The maximum torque of 690 Nm is available at 6,000 rpm -1 are available. The car has a semi-automatic dual clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.1 seconds, to 200 km / h in 8.5 seconds and should reach a top speed of 340 km / h. The F12 circles the in-house test track in Fiorano in 1:23 minutes.

Special models
On the technical basis of the F12berlinetta, Ferrari's Special Projects department manufactured several special models according to customer requirements:
- The SP America is a coupe with modified aprons and bonnet.
- Since 2014 a total of three F12 TRS , slightly different roadsters, have been delivered.
- The F60America special series of 10 vehicles was launched in 2014 for the 60th anniversary of Ferrari's US presence.
- The F12tdf is a special edition limited to 799 models. The abbreviation tdf is intended to remind of the Tour de France for automobiles . It is the first Ferrari with all-wheel steering called a Virtual Short Wheelbase System .

According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority , a total of 37 Ferrari F12berlinettas were newly registered in Germany from October to December 2012, 29 of them by commercial owners.
