The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a four-seater sports car produced by the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari .
The 612 Scaglietti replaced the 456 GT , which had been built since 1992 , or its model revision 456M GT, in 2004. The as well as almost all other Ferraris of Pininfarina -designed GranTurismo has a light aluminum - body and is named after the Modenese coachbuilder Sergio Scaglietti .
The Ferrari 612 is equipped with a V12 engine with a front mid-engine design that delivers 397 kW (540 hp). The vehicle reaches a top speed of 315 km / h and accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 4.2 s. Optional extras such as heated front seats, polished 19 "rims, the semi-automatic F1 gearbox (standard from MY 2009) or a sports exhaust system can be installed. As part of a facelift in 2008, the vehicle is now equipped with a panoramic glass roof as standard .
Two thirds of the vehicles delivered are not painted in Rosso Corsa (“racing red”), but in some other way (mostly metallic silver). The 612 is in the tradition of the great Ferrari 2 + 2 and, like the Ferrari 599 GTB, is more reminiscent of classic cars from the 1960s than of the current mid-engine sports model Ferrari 458 Italia .
In 2007 Pininfarina designed the Ferrari 612 K based on a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti for the American entrepreneur and passionate automobile collector Peter S. Kalikow . The K or Kappa stands for Kalikow. Kalikow's unique Ferrari 612 has the serial number 145746 and is painted in Pozzi Blue .
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Ferrari introduced the 612 Scaglietti Sessanta in 2007. Each of the 60 copies has a two-tone paintwork, as well as an exclusive leather interior, an electrochromatic glass roof and emblems in the interior. Technically, the 612 Scaglietti Sessanta corresponds to the series.
The successor model of the Scaglietti bears the model name Ferrari FF (the abbreviation "FF" stands for "Ferrari Four") and was introduced in 2011.
