The Ferrari 195 is a model of the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari that was built between 1950 and 1951 in different versions . The name goes back to the rounded content of a single cylinder.

At 195 it was the successor of Ferrari 166 with its enlarged from 2.0 to 2.3 liter twelve-cylinder - V-type engine with one overhead camshaft per cylinder bank (bore x stroke 65 x 58.8 mm, displacement 2341 cc) . Like its predecessor, the 195 had a box frame, front double wishbones and a rigid rear axle. The successor to the 195 was the Ferrari 212 .

195 Sports (1950)

The 195 Sport was the variant of the 195 series intended for GT racing. By increasing the drilling dimensions, the displacement of the SOHC -V12 increased from 1995 to 2341 and the output to 125 kW (170 hp) at 7200 rpm. Compared to the 166 MM, the wheelbase was extended by 50 to 2250 mm. A 195 Sport with a hatchback coupé body from Touring is known ; According to reliable estimates, a maximum of three copies were made.

195 Inter (1950-1951)

As with the 166, with the 195, the Inter presented at the end of 1950 was the variant intended for civilian use.

With three double carburetors, the 2.3-liter V12 with an overhead camshaft developed 99 kW (135 hp) per cylinder bank at 7000 rpm.

A total of twelve Vignale Coupés were built on a wheelbase of mostly 2500 mm, mostly based on designs by Giovanni Michelotti , ten Ghia Coupés based on a design by Felice Mario Boano and three coupés with touring bodies. The Swiss coachbuilder Ghia-Aigle built a unique piece each, also based on a Michelotti design, as well as the Carrozzeria Motto .
