Manfred Aregger (born January 27, 1931 in Hasle , legal resident in Hasle ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

The qualified civil engineer was the owner of an engineering office from 1960. From 1966 to 1969 he was a member of the constitutional council involved in the creation of a Roman Catholic synod in the canton of Lucerne and was synodal president from 1976 to 1977 . From 1967 to 1983 he was a Grand Councilor in the canton of Lucerne and presided over it in 1977. On November 26, 1979, he was elected to the National Council and had a seat there until December 5, 1999.

Aregger was co-initiator and planner of the Sörenberg - Brienzer Rothorn cable car and was president of the Swiss Ski Association from 1985 to 1989 . He is married and has five children. In the Swiss Army he was an adjutant sergeant .
