Manfred Bär (born January 17, 1962 ) is a former German soccer player . He played a total of two Bundesliga games .
Career
The striker Bär, who moved from the southern Baden association league club FC Emmendingen to Gelsenkirchen , was in the professional squad of Schalke in the 1980/81 season . On the fifth matchday he celebrated his Bundesliga debut in the 1: 2 home defeat in the Revierderby against Borussia Dortmund when he came on for Harald Kügler shortly before the end . Bär then played only one Bundesliga game, which his team lost 5-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt . At the end of the season, Schalke rose from penultimate in the table; Bär returned to Emmendingen.
