Manfred Becker (born December 27, 1940 ) is a former German soccer player . He completed a Bundesliga game for 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the 1965/66 season .

Career

The striker Manfred Becker, like Wolfram Kaminke and Herwart Koppenhöfer, was taken over from his own amateur team to the professional squad for the 1965/66 round. In addition, the “Red Devils” were reinforced by Otto Geisert (Karlsruher SC), Uwe Klimaschefski (Hertha BSC) and Manfred Rummel (Eintracht Duisburg). On the 33rd match day of the 1965/66 season, May 21, 1966, Becker played his only Bundesliga game in a 3-2 home win against FC Schalke 04 . Coach Gyula Lóránt had sent the FCK attack into the race with Becker, Willy Reitgaßl , Rummel, Helmut Kapitulski and Harald Braner . The league game took place three days after the exhausting cup semi-final on May 18th at MSV Duisburg (3: 4) and the Lauterer had to play for victory with 24:40 points. On June 18, 1966, Becker stormed in a game in the Intertoto round against Wisla Krakau (2-4) on right winger.

In 1966/67 he was still in the professional squad, but was no longer active. Mainly Becker was active during this time for the amateur team of the FCK in the 1st amateur league southwest .
