Herward Koppenhöfer (born May 25, 1946 in Weidenthal ) is a former German soccer player who played for five clubs in the Bundesliga .

Career

After his youth at FC Wacker Weidenthal , the football club of the same name in the Bad Dürkheim district , Koppenhöfer received a professional contract with Bundesliga club 1. FC Kaiserslautern , for which he played in the Bundesliga on October 16, 1965 (8th matchday) goalless draw in the home game against SC Tasmania 1900 Berlin was used for the first time. He scored his first professional goal on September 3, 1966 (3rd matchday) in a 5-2 win in the home game against Rot-Weiss Essen with the goal to make it 2-1 in the 42nd minute - his only goal in paid football (Apart from the own goal on December 8, 1973 (17th matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat with Kickers Offenbach in the away game against SC Fortuna Köln ).
