Manfred Gmeiner (born October 2, 1941 in Füssen ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Athletic career

Manfred Gmeiner played from 1960 for EV Füssen , with whose team he was German champion several times and won the Spengler Cup in 1964 . After the 1966/67 season he moved to the Mannheim ERC for the 1967/68 season before playing for ESV Kaufbeuren from 1968 to 1973 .

Internationally, he played for the German national ice hockey team at the ice hockey world championships in 1962 and 1963 and at the 1968 Winter Olympics .

Others

For winning the tenth German championship by EV Füssen, he and his teammates were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Heinrich Lübke on March 10, 1963 .
