Manfred Groh (born December 23, 1948 in Karlsruhe ) is a German CDU politician .

Life and work

After graduating from secondary school, Groh completed an apprenticeship for administrative services in the state of Baden-Württemberg. In 1970 he obtained a degree in finance (FH). Then worked for various state authorities. From 1994 to 2000 he was an authorized signatory at the state-owned parking company.

Political activity

In 1999 Manfred Groh was elected to the Karlsruhe municipal council, to which he belonged for one year. He has also been on the board of the CDU Karlsruhe since 1999 and was a member of the association assembly of the Middle Upper Rhine region . There he was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group since 2005. From 2000 to 2006 he was mayor for economy and finance of the city of Karlsruhe. In 2006 and 2011 , Groh was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg and left the state parliament on September 30, 2014. He represented constituency 27 (Karlsruhe I) .

Family and private

Manfred Groh is Roman Catholic. He has been married since 1971 and has one daughter.
