Karl-Wolfgang Jägel (born April 8, 1957 in Baden-Baden ) is a German entrepreneur and CDU politician .

education and profession

After graduating from Ludwig-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Rastatt , Jägel studied civil engineering at the University of Karlsruhe . Since graduating as a civil engineer in 1982, he has been working in the family-owned company Karl Jägel Bau , since 1985 as managing director.

Political activity

From 1983 to 1989 Jägel was chairman of the Junge Union Rastatt, from 1989 to 1994 of the CDU local association. In 1989 he was elected to the Rastatt municipal council, where he had been chairman of the CDU parliamentary group since 1994. Since 1991 he has also been deputy chairman of the CDU district association in Rastatt. On October 1, 2004, he replaced Thomas Schäuble in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . He was directly elected in the 2006 and 2011 state elections. He represented the constituency of Rastatt . He did not run for the 2016 state elections. At the beginning of 2017, he also resigned from his position as councilor in Rastatt.
