Manfred Hemmer

Manfred Hemmer (born March 3, 1937 in Hamm ) is a German politician and former North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament member of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter . After completing his training, he attended the Beckum carpentry school. This was followed by training as a technical draftsman . From 1963 to 1980 Hemmer was employed as a technical employee at the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe , Hamm motorway office. During this time he was chairman of the staff council and a member of the general staff council.

He joined the SPD in 1960. He is active in numerous bodies of the party, so he was z. B. Chairman of the SPD sub-district Hamm and member of the Western Westphalia district committee. Hemmer is a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union .

From May 29, 1980 to June 2, 2005 Hemmer was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 139 Hamm II and in the thirteenth electoral term in constituency 138 Hamm I.

He was a member of the city council of Hamm from 1964 to 1989.
