Manfred Hollmann

Manfred Hollmann (born June 22, 1929 in Hermannseifen , Bohemia; † October 23, 2012 ) was a German painter and graphic artist .

Career

Hollmann came from Bohemia and from 1950 lived as a freelance artist in Munich. From 1951 to 1959 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and with André Lhote in Paris.

In his work he devoted himself to free and architecture-related painting. Among other things, he designed the Fürstenried West subway station in Munich . From 1975 to 1994 he was professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
