Manfred Miller (administrative scientist)

Manfred Miller (* 1956 in Ulm ) is a German administrative scientist .

Life

Miller studied at the University of Konstanz , where he graduated in 1981 with a degree in administrative science and in 1985 as a Dr. rer. soc. received his doctorate. After passing the state examination for the higher non-technical administrative service in 1986, he was a research assistant at the State Statistical Office of Baden-Wuerttemberg . A. to the Landesgewerbeamt, where he was personal assistant to the president and deputy head of the "Organization and internal service" department. After a secondment to the Saxon State Ministry for Economics and Labor in 1991 , he was appointed lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Justice of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, Department of Public Administration (since 1998 Harz University ) based in Halberstadt , and in 1993 he was appointed government director . He retired on October 1, 2018.

In 1994/1995 he spent a year researching at the Research Institute for Public Administration in Speyer . Between 2000 and 2002 he was a consultant to the temporary committee for functional and administrative reform in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt , from 2007 to 2010 he was an external expert member of the study commission "Personnel development in the public service of the state of Saxony-Anhalt" of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt.

Miller also publishes numismatic journal articles and books.
