Manfred Nagler

Manfred Nagler (born June 2, 1939 in Heroldsberg ) is a German politician of the CSU . From 1996 to 2008 he held the office of district administrator of the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen .

Rector and Mayor

Nagler was initially rector of the elementary school in Egling from 1982 . From 1972 to 1990 he served as honorary mayor in Egling. During this time, the merger with the municipalities of Egertshausen, Neufahrn, Moosham, Thanning, Deining and Endlhausen occurred as part of the municipal reorganization of Bavaria.

District Administrator

In the local elections in March 1996, Nagler received the most votes as the CSU candidate and took up the post of district administrator on May 1, 1996. In March 2002, he was confirmed in his office with two competitors with a good 70%. The controversial project of his term of office was the authority center created in place of the Flint barracks in Bad Tölz because of the cost overrun. From the time lag, the successor as district administrator, Josef Niedermaier, certified that something had been achieved with the administrative center that would last for decades.

National association for horticulture and land maintenance

In addition to his political activities, he was also President of the Bavarian State Association for Horticulture and Land Care for 16 years. V., which, as the umbrella organization of fruit and horticultural associations in Bavaria, looks after over 530,000 hobby gardeners and their families.
