Manfred Pentz (born March 10, 1980 in Darmstadt ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since October 1, 2010 and Secretary General of the CDU Hesse since February 8, 2014 .

From 1996 to 1999, Pentz trained as an insurance salesman and worked in an insurance office until 2000. From 2001 to 2006 he worked as an independent insurance advisor in Darmstadt. From 2006 to 2008 he was a research assistant for Hartmut Honka MdL . From 2001 to 2008, Pentz studied part-time in Frankfurt am Main . In 2008 he finished his studies with a degree in insurance business administration (DVA). From 2009 to May 2011 he worked for Helvetia Swiss Insurance Company AG in Frankfurt am Main.

He is Roman Catholic and lives in Groß -zimmer , is married and has two children.

Political career

In 1995 Pentz joined the CDU. From 2001 to 2006 he was district chairman of the Junge Union Darmstadt-Dieburg and from 2006 to 2014 district chairman of the CDU Darmstadt-Dieburg, where he has been deputy district chairman since 2014. Since 2001 he has been the community representative in Groß -zimmer and was chairman of the local CDU parliamentary group until March 2011. Manfred Pentz is also chairman of the community council Groß-Zimmer. As the “first” citizen he represents the community of Groß-Zimmer internally and externally.

Pentz has been a member of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district council since 2006 .

In the state elections in Hesse in 2009 , Pentz ran as a substitute candidate for Silke Lautenschläger in the constituency of Darmstadt-Dieburg II . After Lautenschläger left the state parliament at the end of September 30, 2010, he moved to the state parliament on October 1, 2010. There he is active in the Committee on Petitions , the European Committee , the Economic and Transport Committee , the Cultural Policy Committee and the Data Protection Sub- Committee.

In the local elections in Hesse in 2011 , Pentz ran for the district council of Darmstadt-Dieburg and the community council of Groß -zimmer .

Since August 2011, Pentz has been deputy chairman of the administrative board of Sparkasse Dieburg . In December 2012 he was elected financial policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.
