Hartmut Honka (born May 11, 1978 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German CDU politician and member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life and work

After graduation in 1997 at the Goethe school Neu-Isenburg and the civilian Hartmut Honka studied at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main Law . After the first state examination in law , he worked from 2006 to 2008 as a trainee lawyer at the Frankfurt am Main regional court . In December 2008 he passed his second state examination in law. In 2010 he completed additional training as a mediator (DAA). He works as a lawyer in Dreieich .

Hartmut Honka has been a member of the CDU and the Young Union since 1996 . As early as September 1998, he moved to the city council of Neu-Isenburg . Since the local elections in 2001 he was a member of the committee for construction, planning, the environment and transport. After moving, he joined the CDU Dreieich in March 2006 and was able to win a seat in the local city council. From February 2008 to March 2011 he was chairman of the main and finance committee of the city of Dreieich. Since November 2009 he has been chairman of the CDU city association Dreieich. Since the local elections in March 2011, he has also acted as chairman of the CDU city council group in Dreieich's city council. Since March 2012 he has been one of the deputy chairmen of the CDU district association Offenbach-Land. In December 2015 he was elected member of the CDU FrankfurtRheinMain district executive committee.

On October 30, 2006, he replaced the resigned member Rüdiger Hermanns in the Hessian state parliament. There he represents constituency 44 (Offenbach Land I) . This includes the cities of Dreieich, Langen (Hessen) and Neu-Isenburg as well as the municipality of Egelsbach . In the state election on January 27, 2008 , he won the direct mandate with 40.7% of the vote. In the new election on January 18, 2009 , he defended his direct mandate with 43.3% of the vote. In the state elections on September 22, 2013 , he won the direct mandate in his constituency for the third time in a row with 43.8%. In the state elections on October 28, 2018 , he won the direct mandate for the fourth time in a row.

At the beginning of the 20th legislative period, the CDU parliamentary group elected him as its spokesman for digital issues in data protection. He is thus a member of the corresponding new parliamentary committee for digiatels and data protection and continues to be a member of the legal committee and subcommittee for the penal system. He was also proposed as chairman for this committee by his parliamentary group and appointed by the state parliament. He is still another deputy member of the main committee. He is a deputy member of the electoral examination court at the Hessian state parliament.

For the 19th legislative period, the CDU parliamentary group re-elected him as their legal-political spokesman. He was a member of the legal committee, the budget committee, the subcommittee for the penal system, the data protection subcommittee, the judge election committee, the electoral committee for the election of judicial members of the state court, the electoral review court of the Hessian state parliament and another deputy member in the main committee. He is a full member of committees of inquiry 19/1 and 19/2. The Committee of Inquiry 19/2 elected him chairman at its first meeting.

In the 18th legislative period he was re-elected as the legal policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. He was a member of the Legal and Integration Committee, the Budget Committee, the Prison Subcommittee, the Data Protection Subcommittee and the Judge Election Committee. He was also a deputy member of the main committee. He was a full member of Committee of Inquiry 18/1 and a deputy member of Committee of Inquiry 18/2.

In the period between the dissolution of parliament on November 19, 2008 and the new elections on January 18, 2009, he was a further deputy member of the standing committee in accordance with Article 93 of the Hessian Constitution.

In the 17th legislative period (April 5 to November 19, 2008) he was elected for the first time as the legal policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. He was a member of the Legal Affairs Committee, the Budget Committee, the Correctional Subcommittee and another deputy member of the Main Committee.

In the 16th legislative period he was a full member of the Committee for Economics and Transport, the Petitions Committee, the Hardship Commission and the Committee of Inquiry 16/3. He was also a deputy member of the Committee of Inquiry 16/2.

From November 2011 to April 2019 he was the state chairman of the Working Group of Christian Democratic Lawyers Hesse (LACDJ). Since November 2013 he has been a member of the board of the Federal Working Group of Christian Democratic Lawyers (BACDJ).

Hartmut Honka is Roman Catholic , married and has two children. The family lives in Dreieich-Sprendlingen. Honka is a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Greiffenstein (Breslau) Frankfurt, the Kolping Family "Zum Heiligen Kreuz" in Neu-Isenburg, the DLRG Neu-Isenburg, Citizen Aid Dreieich and in the Kinderschutzbund Westkreis Offenbach.
