Rüdiger Hermanns

Rüdiger Hermanns (born November 27, 1940 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from elementary, secondary and commercial school, Rüdiger Hermanns began a commercial apprenticeship in April 1957 at FW Brügelmann Söhne in Frankfurt am Main as a wholesaler. Interrupted from military service, he worked there until 1963.

In 1963 he took over the management of his father's company Groth & Hermanns OHG, which was then a supplier of fabrics and soles for the shoe industry. In the early 1970s he switched the company's activities to the textile industry, which has been supplying the clothing industry with fabrics ever since. In 1981 the company was converted into a GmbH, of which he is the main managing partner to this day.

In 1995, Groth & Hermanns GmbH and the French textile company Blanchin SA founded a subsidiary in Dreieich, Blanchin Textil GmbH. This is now the specialist for woven lining materials. Both companies now employ seven people and two temporary workers as well as agents at home and abroad.

Rüdiger Hermanns is a Protestant, married and has two children. In Dreieich he works as an active and passive member in many clubs and associations.

politics

In 1976 Rüdiger Hermanns joined the CDU in Sprendlingen (today part of the city of Dreieich ). For the CDU he worked or works in numerous political offices. From 1976 to 1982 he was chairman of the Sprendlingen branch, from 1982 to 2003 chairman of the CDU Dreieich, and since 1985 he has been deputy chairman of the CDU Offenbach Land.

From 1981 to 2006 Hermanns was city councilor of the CDU Dreieich and from 1998 to 2006 parliamentary group chairman of the CDU. At the same time, Rüdiger Hermanns was a member of the Offenbach district council from 1981–1988.

Since September 30, 1988 Hermanns was elected member of the Hessian state parliament. Between 1991 and 2003 he won the Offenbach Land I constituency four times . In the state parliament he was a member of the interior committee of the Hessian state parliament from 1988-2003 and from 1988 a member of the committee for economy and transport of the Hessian state parliament.

From 1995 to 1999 he was the spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the Hessian state parliament for administrative reform and from 1999 chairman of the committee for economy and transport in the Hessian state parliament.

In 1999 and 2003, Hermanns was a member of the 11th and 12th federal assemblies .

With effect from October 29, 2006, Rüdiger Hermanns resigned from the state parliament for health reasons. Hartmut Honka was his successor .
