Special features / comments

With the support of Ben Ahrens, Wader is his own producer again for the first time since the album Not only me . From glow on the horizon (1985) up Never back was Detlef Petersen his producer have been.

In Nachtfahrt , a broadcast of Bob Dylan's Bob Dylan's Dream from the album The freewheelin 'Bob Dylan , Wader recounts old friends and, after realizing that some of them have already died, ponders his own demise.

In the song Strom der Zeit , the songwriter deals with the passage of time and the changes it causes in a person. He draws the positive conclusion that he wants to stay the way he is, completely himself.

In Alle Hügel , Wader remembers his earlier experiences there when he returns to his homeland. He notices that he has become a stranger there and that even the landlord in the village tavern no longer knows him. The piece is a translation of The Ladies Go Dancing at Whitsun , which clearly shows Klaus Weiland 's typical guitar arrangement. Klaus Weiland has had this piece in his repertoire as a Pentecost song since the 1980s.

The titles Unhappy Before Me , The Sea is Deep and Daydream deal with Wader's personal situation. It's about loneliness, getting into this world he doesn't really like, and the end of a non-functioning relationship.

In Parents , Hannes Wader reports on his parents and their character traits, and also talks about his relationship with them.

For the first time since 1991 and with the title Der Büffel , the songwriter cultivates the talking blues situation . The title The Invisible One deals with a person who invents a liquid with which he can make himself invisible. The song is about his experiences as an invisible man and his relationship quarrel. His wife z. B. has a relationship with a psychologist.

No more arguments dealt with the end of a broken relationship with a woman, which was very often the subject of songwriter titles.

In Who knows , Wader deals with what separates people and hopes for a few hours with his friends. He knows that they will soon go all their ways, but indicates that the human being is a "Horde animal" and cannot be alone because he longs for love.
