What a night is an album by the singer and songwriter Hannes Wader in collaboration with Konstantin Wecker from 2001.

History of origin

Wader and Wecker met in the early 1970s. At a 20-year-old suggestion by Konstantin Wecker, Hannes Wader went on a summer tour with Konstantin Wecker in 2000 and 2001. This recording is a live recording from their concerts in July 2000 in Mainz, Nuremberg, Tuttlingen and Pforzheim.

At the concerts they played each other's songs, took turns singing and intoned their own songs. Hannes Wader sings the title “What happened in the years” by Konstantin Wecker. Wecker, on the other hand, sings the title "Schon morgen" by Hannes Wader. Together they both perform the title "Old Style Love Song", with Wader performing the first part on the guitar and the alarm clock performing the second part on the piano. The song " Bella Ciao " is also sung by both, with Wader singing the stanzas in German and Wecker in Italian. Wader sings the first part of “Already so long”, Wecker sings the second. The title “It's good to be back” is sung in two different arrangements at the beginning and at the end of the concert .

A studio album by Wader should be released in the same year. It was about the album Wünsche . The singer-songwriter had not released a studio album since 1997 and the album An dich I thought - Wader sings Schubert . Konstantin Wecker released the album Vaterland that same year .
