The Offenbach Land I constituency (constituency 44) is a state electoral district in Hesse . The constituency includes the cities and communities of Dreieich , Egelsbach , Langen and Neu-Isenburg in the west of the Offenbach district .
In the last state election, 84,882 of the approximately 121,000 inhabitants of the constituency were entitled to vote. The population density is 994 inhabitants per km². The constituency is in the "bacon belt" of Frankfurt . The unemployment rate in the district is lower than that of the city of Frankfurt or Hesse as a whole (district: 6.2%, Hesse 6.8%, Frankfurt 7.5% in November 2007). The disposable income per inhabitant of € 20,565 is 10% above the national average (2005). The constituency is considered a CDU stronghold.

The constituency until 1966
Between 1950 and 1966 , according to the Hessian state election law of September 18, 1950, constituency 41 existed, but this was not completely congruent with today's constituency. The former constituency 41 was made up of the southern part of the Offenbach district and the following places in the Groß-Gerau district: Groß-Gerau , Mörfelden, Walldorf , Kelsterbach and Raunheim . The northern part of the Offenbach district was part of constituency 40.
In the state elections in Hesse in 1946 , today's constituency was part of constituency II . This constituency was made up of the city of Offenbach as well as the then Offenbach district and the Dieburg district .
