The constituency Wetterau I (constituency 25) is one of three state election circles in the Hessian Wetterau . The constituency includes the towns and communities in the south of the district Bad Vilbel , Friedberg (Hesse) , Karben , Niddatal , Rosbach vor der Höhe and Wöllstadt .

Of the approximately 108,000 inhabitants of the constituency, 78,581 citizens were eligible to vote in the last state election. The constituency in the “bacon belt” of Frankfurt has a significantly higher economic power than the country's average.

The constituency Wetterau I was created on January 1, 1983, before that Bad Vilbel, Butzbach , Münzenberg , Ober-Mörlen and Rosbach vd Höhe belonged to constituency 23 , Friedberg, Karben, Niddatal, Rockenberg and Wöllstadt belonged to constituency 24 . Before the state elections in 2008, the number of constituencies in the Wetteraukreis was increased from two to three, with Butzbach, Münzenberg, Ober-Mörlen and Rockenberg being transferred to the Wetterau III constituency .
