The constituency Bergstrasse II (constituency 55) is one of two state electoral districts in the Hessian district of Bergstrasse . The constituency includes the cities and communities of Abtsteinach , Bensheim , Birkenau , Fürth , Gorxheimertal , Grasellenbach , Groß-Rohrheim , Hirschhorn , Lautertal , Lindenfels , Mörlenbach , Neckarsteinach , Rimbach , Wald-Michelbach and Zwingenberg . The municipality of Groß-Rohrheim, which previously belonged to the constituency of Bergstrasse I , was added to the constituency by law from December 18, 2017 (GVBl. P. 478). The constituency thus consists of three unconnected parts.

The constituency until 1966
Between 1950 and 1966 , according to the Hessian state election law of September 18, 1950, constituency 48 existed, which was largely identical to today's constituency.
In the state elections in Hesse in 1946 , today's constituency was part of constituency III . This constituency was made up of the Bergstrasse district and the Erbach district .
By-election 1995
In the state elections in Hesse in 1995 , the election in the Bergstrasse II constituency had to be postponed by two weeks from February 19 to March 5, as Doris Wodrinski, the direct candidate of the Republicans, died on February 1.
