Werner Breitwieser

Werner Breitwieser (born August 14, 1937 in Scharbach ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

Werner Breitwieser passed his Abitur in 1957 and studied at the Pedagogical Institute in Jugenheim and at the Technical University of Darmstadt (elective subject physics). In 1961 he started teaching at the Haupt- und Realschule Reichelsheim in the Odenwaldkreis. From 1967 to 1977 he was a trainer at the Dieburg study seminar and from 1977 to 1989 rector at the Eugen Bachmann School in Wald-Michelbach .

politics

Werner Breitwieser has been a member of the CDU since 1967 and is active there in various board positions. Since 1974 he has been deputy district chairman of the CDU Bergstrasse. He has been involved in local politics since 1972 as a member of the Wald-Michelbach municipal council, from 1972 to 1981 and since 1985 as a member of the Bergstrasse district council . In the district council he was chairman of the committee for school and education issues from 1977 to 1981 and from 1985 to 1989 and since 2001 chairman of the district council. From 1989 to 2001 he was chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group and from 1981 to 1985 he was an honorary member of the Bergstrasse district committee.

Since 1989 Werner Breitwieser was a member of the association assembly of the LWV Hessen . On September 11, 1989, he replaced Horst Strecker in the state parliament, to which he was a member until 1999.

In 2008 Werner Breitwieser was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. In 2014 he received the Alfred Dregger Medal in silver.
