The constituency Bergstrasse I (constituency 54) is one of two state electoral districts in the Hessian district of Bergstrasse . The constituency includes the cities of Bürstadt , Heppenheim , Lampertheim , Lorsch and Viernheim as well as the communities Biblis and Einhausen in the west of the district area. The municipality of Groß-Rohrheim , which previously belonged to the constituency, was added to the constituency Bergstrasse II by law of December 18, 2017 (GVBl. P. 478) . The constituency is considered a CDU stronghold.

The constituency until 1966
Between 1950 and 1966 , according to the Hessian state election law of September 18, 1950, constituency 47 existed, which was largely identical to today's constituency.
