The constituency of Kassel-Stadt II (constituency 4) is a Hessian state parliament constituency in the east of the independent city of Kassel . The constituency includes the districts of Mitte , Südstadt , Rothenditmold , North Holland , Philippinenhof-Warteberg , Fasanenhof , Wesertor , Wolfsanger-Hasenhecke , Bettenhausen , Forstfeld , Waldau , Niederzwehren and Untersteustadt .
The constituency is considered a stronghold of the SPD and the left , only in the state elections in 2003 the CDU candidate was able to win the direct mandate.

In addition to Wolfgang Decker (SPD), who was elected directly for the fourth time, the Green candidate Karin Müller was elected from her party's state list.
Election 2013
Shortly after the polling stations closed, it became known that up to 299 ballot papers had been filled out incorrectly. In the Kassel-Ost constituency, the ballot papers from the Kassel-West constituency were accidentally distributed to the voters. The first votes on these ballot papers were declared invalid, said the district returning officer.
