Aloys Zumbrägel (born August 5, 1938 ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Aloys Zumbrägel is a member of the CDU and has been active in local politics in his hometown of Kassel since 1967 . He has held a large number of functions in the city council and was deputy parliamentary president and parliamentary group leader of his party.

Between 1994 and 2003, Aloys Zumbrägel was a member of the Hessian state parliament for three electoral terms. In the state parliament he was deputy parliamentary group leader of the CDU and social policy spokesman for the CDU. He entered the state parliament on June 28, 1994 for Karl-Winfried Seif , the last time he was a member of the state parliament in the 15th legislative period .

From November 1977 to autumn 2006, Aloys Zumbrägel was a member of the association assembly of the State Welfare Association of Hesse and from 2001 vice-president of the association assembly. As chairman he headed the parliamentary reform committee and from 1989 to 1993 the school committee.

Other offices

Aloys Zumbrägel is a member of the supervisory board of GWG - Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbaugesellschaft der Stadt Kassel mbH. He was also a member of the operating committee of the Center for Social Psychiatry Kurhessen in Bad Emstal and the supervisory board of the Orthopedic Clinic Kassel gGmbH.

Aloys Zumbrägel is involved in the Catholic labor movement (KAB) and was district and state chairman of the KAB.

Honors

Aloys Zumbrägel received the Letter of Honor from the State of Hesse in 1988 and the Federal Cross of Merit in 1994 . On July 4, 2006, he was awarded the Karl Schomburg plaque of the city of Kassel and the honorary title of "City Elder".
