The constituency Main-Taunus II (constituency 33) is one of two state electoral districts in the Hessian Main-Taunus district . The constituency includes the cities and communities of Flörsheim am Main , Hattersheim am Main , Hochheim am Main , Hofheim am Taunus and Kriftel in the south of the district.

Of the around 111,000 inhabitants of the constituency, 81,179 citizens were eligible to vote in the last state election. The constituency in the "bacon belt" of Frankfurt is considered a CDU stronghold.

The constituency until 1966

According to the Hessian state election law of September 18, 1950, constituency 28 existed between 1950 and 1966 , although this was not completely congruent with today's constituency. The then constituency 28 consisted of what was then Main-Taunus-Kreis .

In the state elections in Hesse in 1946 , today's constituency was part of constituency XIV . This constituency consisted of the Main-Taunus district, the Upper Taunus district , the district of Limburg and the district Usingen .
