The constituency of Lahn-Dill II (constituency 17) is one of two state electoral districts in the Lahn-Dill district of Hesse . The constituency includes the cities of Asslar , Braunfels , Hohenahr , Hüttenberg , Lahnau , Leun , Schöffengrund , Solms , Waldsolms and Wetzlar .
In the last state election, 94,711 of the approximately 132,000 inhabitants were entitled to vote. Geographically, the constituency covers the southeast of the Lahn-Dill district around the district town of Wetzlar.
The constituency of Lahn-Dill II was set up on January 1, 1983 and its composition has remained unchanged since then. Until the end of 1982, Aßlar (with Werdorf ), Hohenahr (with Altenkirchen and Mudersbach) , today's Lahnau districts Atzbach , Dorlar together with Waldgirmes , Leun, the villages of Albshausen , Niederbiel and Oberbiel and Wetzlar (with Dutenhofen , Garbenheim , Hermannstein , which are now part of Solms) belonged , Münchholzhausen and Naunheim ) to the old constituency 17 , Braunfels, Hüttenberg (with Reiskirchen , Schwingbach and Volpertshausen ), Schöffengrund, Solms (without Albshausen, Nieder- and Oberbiel), Waldsolms and Wetzlar- Nauborn to the previous constituency 18 .
