Frank Steinraths (born June 25, 1973 in Siegen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After Frank Steinraths had obtained the general university entrance qualification at the Theodor-Heuss-Schule in Wetzlar in 1993, he did his military service in the Knüll barracks in Schwarzenborn . From 1994 to 1996 Steinraths completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Buderus . Since then he has held various positions in the company. Steinraths was last chairman of the works council of the Bosch Thermotechnik plant in Lollar since 2016 . He is released from this activity.

Steinraths is married and has two children. He is the son of a free church pastor and has been a member of the Free Evangelical Congregation in Wetzlar since 1988 . There he does volunteer work.

politics

On November 1, 2017, Frank Steinraths replaced Hans-Jürgen Irmer . Irmer had entered the Bundestag as a direct candidate in the Lahn-Dill constituency and therefore left the Hessian state parliament. Steinraths is a member of the European Committee, the Cultural Policy Committee and the Petitions Committee. In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , he successfully ran as a direct candidate for the Lahn-Dill II constituency .
