The constituency of Marburg-Biedenkopf II (constituency 13) is one of two state electoral districts in the Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf . The constituency includes the cities and communities of Amöneburg , Kirchhain , Marburg , Neustadt (Hessen) , Rauschenberg , Stadtallendorf and Wohratal .
In the last state election, 96,883 of the approximately 139,000 residents of the constituency were entitled to vote. Geographically, the constituency covers the east of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district ( old district Kirchhain ) and the centrally located district town of Marburg ( old district Marburg excluding north and south) and is significantly more populous than the more western constituency of Marburg-Biedenkopf I (114,000 inhabitants).
The constituency of Marburg-Biedenkopf I has existed unchanged since January 1, 1983. Its area is very similar to that of the earlier constituency 12 until 1982.

In addition to the directly elected constituency member Dirk Bamberger (CDU), the direct candidates of the Greens, Angela Dorn-Rancke, and the Left, Jan Schalauske, entered the state parliament via the respective state lists of their party. The previous SPD member Handan Özgüven, however, missed the return to parliament.
