Elke Künholz

Elke Künholz (born August 25, 1959 in Asslar ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Elke Künholz did an apprenticeship as a dental assistant after attending the comprehensive school in Asslar. Between 1980 and 1982 she attended the Goetheschule in Wetzlar and obtained her Abitur on her second educational path. She then studied at the Hesse University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden and worked as an inspector in municipal and financial supervision for the district administrator of the Main-Taunus district since 1985 and for the city of Wetzlar since 1987.

politics

Elke Künholz is a member of the SPD and works there in various board positions.

In terms of local politics, she is active as a member of the district council in the Gießen district and in the Lahn-Dill district , in the Biebertal local advisory board and as a city councilor in Asslar.

In the state elections in Hesse in 2008 , she was elected to the Hessian state parliament as a direct candidate for the Lahn-Dill II constituency. In the new elections on January 18, 2009 ( state elections in Hesse 2009 ), she lost her state parliament mandate.

On September 7th, 2009 Künholz was elected first district member of the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg in the district committee. In December 2009 she was sworn in and put into office.
