Reinhold Weist

Reinhold Weist (born December 23, 1953 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a Hessian politician ( Die Grünen ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Reinhold Weist was initially involved in the Hesse Green List , for which he ran in the state elections in Hesse in 1978 in the Kassel City I constituency . He was a city councilor in the first red-green coalition in Kassel (1981–1985), and from 1984 research assistant in the green parliamentary group based in Kassel. He was responsible for budget and finances, and at times also press spokesman. On November 15, 1989 he replaced Hans Christoph Boppel , who became an alderman in the district of Gießen, in the state parliament. He was a member of the state parliament for three electoral terms before leaving Luxembourg on December 7, 1998 because of untaxed interest income. His successor was Sigrid Erfurth . From 1991 to 1997 he was parliamentary director. Since 2005 he has been a policy advisor to the Lord Mayor of Kassel, Bertram Hilgen .
