Corrado Di Benedetto (born April 16, 1959 in Vastogirardi , Italy) is a German social worker and former member of the Hessian state parliament ( SPD ). He is also an Italian citizen.
Life
Corrado Di Benedetto came to Mainz in 1966 and attended school there. In 1981 he moved to Wiesbaden, where he studied social pedagogy until 1986 with a diploma. He then took on a job at the Caritas Association Offenbach / Main.
politics
Di Benedetto came into politics through his work on the foreigners' advisory board in Mühlheim am Main (since 1986) and the Offenbach district (1999 to 2010). Since 2006 he has been a member of the board of the Working Group of the Hesse Foreigners Advisory Council - State Foreigners Advisory Council (agah), from 2008 to 2013 as Chairman. He joined the SPD in 2011. In 2012 he was a member of the 15th Federal Assembly. In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 , he ran in the Offenbach Land I constituency . Here he lost to Hartmut Honka . However, he succeeded in entering the state parliament via a list of the party. In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , he no longer stood and therefore left the state parliament.
