Vastogirardi is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Isernia in the Molise region and has 662 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The municipality is located about 20 kilometers north-northeast of Isernia and borders directly on the province of L'Aquila .
history
The ancient temple of Hercules was of national importance. The present-day village of Vastogirardi was not built until between 1100 and 1200.
