The Province of Isernia (Italian Provincia di Isernia ) is an Italian province in the Molise region . The capital is Isernia . It has 83,586 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in 52 municipalities on an area of 1529 km². The province was separated from the province of Campobasso on March 3, 1970 .
In the west, the province is part of the Abruzzo, Latium and Molise National Park .
