Manfred Pienemann

Manfred Pienemann (born November 16, 1951 in Neuenkirchen ) is a German Anglist .

Life

After the state examination in 1975 in English and German at the University of Wuppertal and his doctorate in German and English linguistics in Wuppertal in 1979 , he was academic advisor at the University of Passau from 1980 to 1983 . From 1994 to 1998 he was Professor of Applied Linguistics and Head of Department at the Australian National University . From 1998 to 2015 he taught as Professor of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at the Institute for English and American Studies at the University of Paderborn .
