Manfred Reuter

Manfred Reuter (* 1957 in Prüm ) is a journalist (print) and writer. He completed his training in Aurich at Ostfriesische Nachrichten and at the Academy for Journalism , Hamburg. Professional positions include Cologne, Oldenburg, Münster, Bremen and Trier. He worked for the Trierischer Volksfreund for 20 years, including as sole editor in Prüm / Eifel, as Eifel local manager in Bitburg and in the newsroom in Trier. In 2007 he received a journalism award for a report series after the crash of a US F-16 in the Eifel. Reuter was an editor at Ostfriesischer Kurier in Norden from 2009 to 2016active. From 2011 to 2013 he was also editor-in-chief of the Norderneyer bath newspaper . He now works as a freelance author for several publications, mainly for the Sunday magazine Norderneyer Zeitung. With his Norderney crime novels, he created a new regional label in 2012. The Focus classified its crime novels on a map of Germany in 2013 in the category of the 35 most important regional crime novels. In addition, he has specialized in travel literature.
