Mango is a city in the Indian state of Jharkhand . Mango has the status of a city , even though they are part of Jamshedpur is. The city is located opposite the Subarnarekha River and is connected to the core city by three bridges.

The city is part of the Purbi Singhbhum District . Mango is administered as a Notified Area Council . The city is divided into 25 wards . It is primarily a residential area and is currently experiencing a real estate boom thanks to the rapid growth of the Jamshedpur agglomeration.

Demographics

The city's population is 223,805 according to the 2011 census. Those of the Jamshedpur metropolitan area at 1,339,438. Mango has a gender ratio of 930 women per 1000 men and thus a male surplus typical for India. The literacy rate was 85.1% in 2011. Almost 52% of the population are Hindus , approx. 41% are Muslim and approx. 8% belong to another or no religion. 13.1% of the population are children under 6 years of age.
