Mango is a multinational fashion group with its headquarters north of Barcelona , which is dedicated to the design, manufacture and sale of women's and men's fashion and accessories.

The Istanbul- born founder Isak Andic (* 1955) started a women's fashion store in 1984. Eight years later there were a hundred stores in Spain and the first two stores in Portugal marked the start of internationalization. It was not until 2008 that Mango turned to men too. At the end of 2010, Mango operated more than 1,700 stores in 101 countries. The fashion chain continues its expansion course with market developments in China and Russia . The company's offices are located in excellent locations: either in the main shopping centers or in the middle of the city center.

Mango also offers an online shop in which the brand sells its entire product range within the European Union as well as in non-EU member states such as Andorra , Norway and Switzerland . This online shop opened in September 2000 and has seen significant growth since then. In the electronic trade, Mango directed its expansion course in March 2006 towards the opening of a virtual marketplace for the North American market and an outlet shop for the European market.

The company headquarters has its own building structure with the areas of design , production control and sales to the points of sale, architecture and interior design of the shops, corporate image and advertising as well as administration and logistics . In 2011 Mango employs more than 8,600 people, 1,850 of whom work at the headquarters in Palau-solità i Plegamans ( province of Barcelona ). The company's employees are on average 30 years old and 80 percent are women.

The logistics of mango based on its own system has been gradually developed since the opening of the first store in 1984 until today extended by the company has equipped the logistics centers with the latest technologies. Thanks to this logistics system, 30,000 items of clothing can be sorted and distributed per hour.

Franchise system

In order to develop an integrated company branch, Mango leaves its collections to franchisees in the return system. In this way, all points of sale in the world should have the goods they need in terms of their sales speed and sales forecasts at all times. According to press reports, franchisees did not always feel well served in this sense.
