Manica is a city of the province of Manica in Mozambique .
geography
The city is an independent municipality in the Manica district , about 60 kilometers west-northwest of the provincial capital Chimoio and 30 kilometers from the border with Zimbabwe .
To the north of the city lie the Penha Longa Mountains , which are almost 1700 m high . There are rock carvings at Chinamapere . The north bank of the Chicamba reservoir is a good 20 kilometers away on the EN6 national road towards Beira .
