Mania Dawlat

Manija Dawlat ( Tajik Манижа Давлатова ; born December 31, 1982 in Kulob , Tajik SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Tajik pop singer who is very well known in Tajikistan and Afghanistan .

Life

Until 1999, Manija Dawlat attended middle school No. 8 in her hometown of Kulob. After graduating from high school, she entered the Foreign Language Faculty of Kulob State University, but two years later she moved from that college to the Tajik National University to study at the Faculty of Journalism . In 2006 she finished her studies. She took her first steps in pop music in 2001 when she attended university. Her first song "On the Banks of the River" (original title: Дар лаби ҷӯй ) was a hit in 2001 and made Manija a pop star in Tajikistan. The singer achieved national popularity and gave many concerts in her homeland and in Kabul . After releasing two albums, she retired from the music business and no longer performs today. She is said to have very good relations with Tajikistan's President Emomalij Rahmon .
