Manipulation is a 1991 British animated short directed by Daniel Greaves .

action

The real work room of a comic artist. He paints a comic man's head on a white sheet of paper and wipes it off the sheet. This is followed by a comic figure body, which is also discarded. A red colored glass falls over. The sheet is crumpled up. The draftsman leaves.

The comic man sits down and appears on the new sheet. It begins to play with the blob of paint, soaks up the paint with a straw , forms it into a ball and is finally pursued by the mad ball of paint. Then the draftsman appears, of whom you can only see the white gloves . He plays with the male, hangs it on strings, crushes and crumples it, folds it, blurs his face and cuts it out. The male gets angry and wants to flee. It scratches the paper and forms the white sheet into a ball surrounding it. The draftsman hits the ball of paper. The male has difficulty getting out of the leaf tangle. In the end it falls off the table and the draftsman throws it in the trash .

The draftsman leaves the room. The paper man slowly pulls himself up out of the garbage can and looks enthusiastically into the room.
