Mannagetta (noble family)

The Mannagetta (also Managetta, later "Managetta von Lerchenau" or "Managetta and Lerchenau") were a patrician family originally from Italy who came to Austria towards the end of the 16th century. In 1637 the imperial personal physician Johann Wilhelm Mannagetta and his brothers were ennobled with " von Lerchenau ", in 1752 they were accepted into the Bohemian knighthood and in 1753 they were elevated to the Austrian baron. In 1905 the noble Johann von Nowotny was authorized to use the name "Mannagetta-Lerchenau".

history

Valentino Mannagetta moved from Bologna to Austria under the Enns. His grandson Johann Wilhelm Mannagetta (and his brothers Carl and Franz) was awarded the knightly imperial nobility with "von Lerchenau" on January 4, 1637 . Philipp Jakob Mannagetta von Lerchenau (on Würnitz) was accepted into the Bohemian knighthood on December 16, 1752. On May 15, 1753, Johann Joseph Martin Mannagetta von Lerchenau was raised to the status of hereditary-Austrian baron. Johann Edler von Nowotny (as the adopted son of Daniel Ritter von Mannagetta and Lerchenau) was approved on November 21, 1905 to use the name "Mannagetta-Lerchenau" .

Joseph Beck, kk Hofrat, married to Amelie von Mannagetta and Lerchenau, was ennobled in 1888 as "Knight of Mannagetta" and in 1907 as "Imperial Knight Mannagetta and Lerchenau" . Paul Ritter Beck von Mannagetta and Lerchenau, kk secret council, president of the kk patent office, was elevated to the Austrian baron status in 1912.

  • Johann Georg (* around 1666; † 1751), real court and conference councilor, court commissioner, secret councilor, "noble gentleman", in 1732 accepted into the Upper Austrian and 1735 into the Lower Austrian knighthood
  • Martin Joseph (* 1699) n.o. Government councilor, court counselor and secret trainee lawyer in the State Council, then government vice-president, finally Lower Austria. Vicestatthalter (and thus police chief of Lower Austria and Vienna), made baron and secret councilor by Maria Theresa in 1752 .
  • Philipp Jacob, n.o. Government Councilor, Rait Marshal of the n.ö. Land estates, ordained and later their committee council, first district captain of the VUMB , Herr auf Würnitz and Neuwaldegg (near Dornbach). He also acquired the incolate of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. His son Ferdinand succeeded him as head of the district.
  • Philipp Jacob, kk Truchseß, since 1764 as a state decree (14 years uninterrupted), road construction director, 1771 proprio motu to the Lower Austria. Councilor appointed. Sons: Anton, Commander of the 6th Landwehr Battalion 1809 and
  • Johann Wilhelm (1785–1843), General Secretary of the privileged Austrian National Bank and writer.

In black a silver bar, accompanied by three (2.1) golden larks. On the helmet with black and gold covers five ostrich feathers.

Divided by a silver bar covered with a four-leaf clover, above two golden larks floating next to each other in blue, below a golden lark in black. Baron crown, two helmets, on the right one with black and gold on the left with silver and blue blankets three ostrich feathers each. Sign holder: two golden handles, motto: “Quo coepisti pede perge”.
