Manouba

Manouba ( Arabic منوبة, DMG Manūba ) is a city in northeastern Tunisia and the capital of the governorate of the same name . The city is located west of the Tunisian capital Tunis , has an area of 833 hectares and in 2004 had a population of 26,666.
university
Manouba University is located in Manouba , where around 13,000 students study. Since the beginning of 2012 there have been disputes in the university. Supporters of the Salafists are said to have tried to get the female students to wear a niqab , sometimes with violence and intimidation .
The current rector of the university is Habib Kazdaghli (as of March 2012). One of the well-known professors is Amel Grami , who researches equality and intercultural studies.
