Mansueto "Onyok" Velasco, Jr. (born January 10, 1974 in Bago City , Negros Occidental ) is a retired Filipino boxer . He is the brother of the 1992 Olympic third-party Roel Velasco .

Velasco was Asian champion in paper weight (-45 kg) in 1991. At the Asian Games in 1994 he also took first place in the light flyweight (-48 kg). 1995 under Velasco in the final of the Asian Championships to the Thai Somrot Kamsing (14: 3).

In 1996 Velasco started at the Olympic Games in Atlanta . After victories over Chih Hsiu Tsai, Taipei (RSC 1st), Yosvany Aguilera, Cuba (14: 5), the bronze medalist of the 1995 World Championships Hamid Berhili, Morocco (20:10), and Rafael Lozano , Spain (22:10), he reached the finals. In this he faced the Bulgarian Daniel Petrow , to whom he was defeated with 19: 6 points.

Shortly after this success, Velasco ended his boxing career and started working for ABS-CBN Corporation as a TV comedian.
